Series 63 Exam

The Series 63 exam, or the Uniform Securities State Law examination, is a test administered by FINRA to evaluate industry knowledge and qualify test-takers to be securities agents.

Within the 75-minute time allotment, candidates are asked to answer 65 questions. However, only 60 of those questions are scored; the other five questions are being pre-tested to evaluate whether or not they will be included as scored questions on future exams.

In order to obtain a passing score, 43 out of the 60 scored questions must be answered correctly. This is a closed-book test, but scratch paper can be requested by a candidate.
